Backpacation to South Korea- Day 3

Since we skipped Nami Island on Day 1, we definitely reserved our Day 3 just for my super favorite island. As most of people know, this is the famous shooting location for Winter Sonata. I’m a fan and of course I’m excited!

The journey starts at 7.30 am as we don’t want to get lost, again and again.
Another thing is, most of the blogs provided us with direction to Nami Island were totally not updated. This is happened when we follow the direction on our day 1 (LOST). But don’t worry as Cheongyangni station personnel will provide you with a piece of paper contained very clear direction. You just tell them you want to go to Namiseom!

We’re so ready for Nami Island. Bring it on! (Near BeeWon Guesthouse)

Subway so crowded on Monday morning

What I noticed with Koreans, they will always with their gadgets. While my friends, they always get ready to pose

From Cheongyangni station, you have to buy a ticket to Chuncheon. I forgot the price as for the entire journey; we used T-Money. Easy and convenient.

We have to change to a new platform once arriving at Hoegi station and people in here can’t speak English fluently. Received answer in Hangeul definitely a headache to us. They trying to help by pointing out which platform should we go.

This one cute lady with BB cream on (I’m sorry for noticing it) was pointing out to the wrong platform. Thanks to our gut feeling for telling us that she was wrong.
When the train approaching, she went to us and said, This one! This one!- Okay nasib baik!

In Cheongnyangni Station – their vending machine is everywhere

Take platform 3 to Hoegi

Once arrived in Hoegi, find exit to Gapyeong as image above

And you will find this. Wait for subway at platform no. 4

Mr. Peace behind Suraya in case you can’t locate Own

Very perasan of me!

We have to wait quite a long period with bunch of senior citizens around us. When I mentioned senior citizen they are not like ours in Msia. They are fit and trendy. Always walk in group. I’m so proud of them and I can’t imagine myself at their age, walking to the train station and climb to the hill just to fill my outdoor activities. Impressive.
The journey took about 1 hour and the best part was we have to stand almost the entire trip. Never mind, we still young (sumpah penat)

Look at woman beside me. They inspire me to stay healthy

They’re going to hike the mountains

They have to be gentlemen for the entire trip. (Muka bengang kena berdiri)

Interesting view from the journey

Arriving at Gapyeong station is another headache. We know the fact that we have to take a ferry to Namiseom. But how to catch it? That’s a good question anyway. Plus, we actually missed the bus because I went to toilet.
Own refer back to our itinerary yet still don’t know how.

Me in front Gapyeong Station

Bus schedule to Nami Island

Until a group of auntie asked us to follow them walking to ferry station. So kind of them.
They said, “Only 5 minutes walking distance”, according to what Own said lah! So ‘helpful’ anyway.
Apa lagi… Jalan kakilah to get ferry.
However, it’s not 5 minutes ye dolls.

Anak Tibet recharge

Own translated what auntie just said. Only 5 minutes je korang. Rupanya jauh giler. Confident yet failed!

Inilah auntie- auntie yang invite we all joined them berjalan ke ferry. Meriahlah dorang fit. We all?

We gonna rock so called ‘5 minutes walking distance’ rite Own? (Jauh giler)

View in Chuncheon cantik- cantik. Tambah cantik dengan weather yang best!

I love this field. It suits my skirt color

Vege tanam depan rumah. Fresh!

Snapped this in case nobody in Korea understands us

Sempat lagi

It took almost 30 minutes. Fuhhhhh! (Not recommended unless you really want to a be a very rajin traveller)

What I realized Chuncheon is cooler than Seoul city. Maybe it’s located in rural area.
After almost 30 minutes walking, we finally found the ferry terminal to Nami island.

Yay!

Only W8,000 for the entry visa.

I thought the island is located so far away from ferry station.
It’s actually only 5 minutes away.
You still can see the ferry station from Namiseom. So near.

In case you want something adventure, you can take 940 meter long Nami Skyline ZipWire ZipRider.
Ziplining from Gapyeong Wharf to Nami Island only cost you W38,000.

Finally sampai with mak- mak angkat Own. Thanks Aunties for became our temporary mother in Korea

Nami Maid- Ferry

On ferry while watching people got ziplining

1, 2, 3 Go…Let’s party!

And finally my dream come true. I’m in Namiseom! No one can describe how excited I am.
All of us holding our own camera to capture every single moment in this spectacular island.

Our first group photo once touched down *chewah*

Early autumn I guess. Only this spot got Yellow leaves

Lovely memories of Winter Sonata

We went for couple bike ride. Only cost you W2,500 per hour. Best!

Requested cute girl to take our picture… Just perfect!

Happy me

Walking around, camwhoring, look at Winter Sonata items left, having lunch at Muslim restaurant and ride a couple bike for an hour.
It’s really good to have this kind of experience. Me having so much fun in Nami Island. And it’s already 3.30pm and we need to catch the last ferry. From Nami you could actually use a taxi with a fix fare, 8000 won. If we know it earlier, hmmmm. Our mistake :p

Wanna use this picture for Salam Perantau. What do you think?

And this one too…

Up Up Up and Away….

In the taxi to Gapyeong station

Back in town!

Dongdaemun was our next destination to go as we need to buy souvenirs for friends and family in Malaysia.

You can reach Dongdaemun by taking subway and it’s easy for you to go there because the name of station is Dongdaemun.

We arrived there around 5.30pm and most of the shops open are cater to wholesaler.

While waiting for the mall to open at 7.30pm (Monday only) we all lepak at coffee shop and observe on Korean style.
The best part was, we can talk about anything in Malay language without anybody understands it. I guess this is why we love having coffee in Korea- Gossip time 🙂

This is souvenir shop in Doota. The cashier can speak Malay
Gossip about lots of things. Lots of laugh too *happy*
Back from Dongdaemun, I remind them that this is our last night heading to our guesthouse. So we recorded a video about how’s Korea treat us so far. Everytime I miss Korea, I played it and never fails to make me laugh!

When we get old, we know how fun to be in other countries like Korea. (Rindu all of you)
