Okay, I’m so excited for Day 3 itinerary. We went to one of the most popular floating markets in Bangkok.
Of course I’m so thrill about it. In Malaysia, we don’t have this kind of market. But, really hope we build this in our lovely country J
For this trip, we booked half day tour to Damnoen Saduak floating market as early as 6.30am.
Packed my hat, sunglasses, Gardenia buns and chocolates so I can stay comfortable until noon. But the worst part was I forgot to charge my camera 🙁 (Obviously, something so very important)
Thanks to Shima for saving her camera battery from Day 1.
The journey took almost 2 hours. Fell asleep next to my new friend from Filipino. She’s a solo traveler. *salute*
Our tour guide was so nice. His name is Jim but I called him Harun Salim Bachik. Wanna know why? Look at his pic below:
Mr. Jim, our tourist guide
Floating market is one of the main attractions in Thailand. This is more to tourist thingy. Nothing much to describe about it. You may look at our pictures:
Jim took this for us. The guy at the back was actually waiting for us.
View along the river:
Getting hotter. Thanks to sunglasses and blue hat
Our Filipino’s friend while waiting for our floating boat
Second stop! Shima and the Filipino girl bought Damnoen Saduak t-shirt
After the tour, we walked inside the market :
Next destination is Elephant Village.
Just a mile away from Damnoen Saduak.
We were so excited to ride on the elephant.
We haven’t think about the rates.
Surprisingly, the charge was 600bht!!!
Quite expensive compared to rates in Malaysia.
So our elephant is 25 years old and her name is Nen.
We’ve been told by the guard that she’s pregnant.
Oh man! How could you allow us riding on pregnant elephant ?
And after the tour done, my friends told that she also riding on the preggy elephant.
Okay, that’s tricky.
How do we know if the elephants are pregnant or not?
They looked the same especially on stomach.
It’s okay if they lied to us.
What I care the most is the tears on Nen’s eyes 🙁
Fun fun fun
Heading back to Bangkok city took another 2 hours.
Apa lagi? Tido session with other traveller in the van lah.
We were so hungry when the van arrived in the city,
We asked the driver to dropped us at MBK mall.
We walked further down to Siam Paragon for Halal food.
Energy recharged!
The only Halal food in Siam Paragon
As Siam Paragon just a walking distance to Platinum and Pratunam Night market, we decided to shop for the last time.
We shopped for 2 hours.
All time favorite- took photos with local signboard
Did some crazy pose
My whole feet were in pain. A call for Thai massage!
We paid only 300 BHT and what we received was a pleasant massage. Superb! Love it so badly.
Back to hotel, we packed our stuff to fit our baggage size. Wow! Just nice.
Opening my own floating market in hotel room *mai mai, buy buy*. Seriously, I bought so many things!
4am we waited our driver at the lobby.
Passed souvenirs to Tommy.
And goodbye Bangkok.
Definitely will visit you again.
Now I know why lots of people love you and can’t forget about you.
Till we meet again, muah!
xoxo,
